Leave Melton Elementary School and follow the paved road and access trail for half a mile to the bottom of Chalk Canyon. Hop on singletrack and follow the course markings for 1.5 miles up Chalk Canyon before hitting steep doubletrack for another 0.8 miles to Peavine Road Aid Station
#1. Fuel up before the hardest part of the course: 1.5 very steep miles on a 4WD road up Tower Ridge to the summit of Peavine Peak.
Once tagging the summit, descend the smooth and relatively gradual Peavine Road for 2.3 miles back to Peavine Road Aid Station
#2. Dive back down Chalk Canyon the same way you came up for 3 miles back to Melton Elementary School.
